on display- dys-connected layout idea

After spending hours with researching and planning out ideas for each design parts for this design branding project on the theme of glitch in the brain, I felt a bit confused on thinking of ideas to visual design my way finders that will needed but I was also unclear on how to design around space I would use. A method that I thought would help me think and clear my space in my head was to sit down for 5 minutes and think of the rooms and draw a rough idea sketch of the rooms to get ideas flowing and out of my head.

below is the rough outline of the rooms that I could design on Exhibition, instead designing my exhibition in one room I thought about splitting up the different visual stages that a dyslexic person see and that can be designed, having different room can make the experience not overwhelming but enjoyable to see in different section, not everything is just thrown together.

In the summer I went traveling to Amsterdam for a couple of days while I was there I went to Moco museum, I feel in love with the art but also the experience of walking into different room with different themes or walking through different section of the art, it was like a story going up and down the stairs and in different room.

There was one room that I thought was so creative and amazing it was a room that purple lightroom with foam ballon/ balls off the room it was a just a chill room but I believe this room would work amazing for my room of ” the brain ” a room where I would put information about the brain and how it works for dyslexic people. since thinking about this idea of using Moco museum as my base of the exhibition I know it would work with a different room but also work as the different art room could be design created by people with dyslexia.

since designing a clear layout and brainstorm for the different room it has allowed me to open up my idea thinking more to think of way finders of each section it has also let me realise how many way finders I need to create in the next couple of days to help build up my brand.
