Part of my 15 page exit plan for professional practice I need to include my creative Cv, I my second year i designed one but i just personally felt in the last year my style has changed a bit and i understand layout and grids indesign a lot more so I felt before uploading any of my work it was important to look over and read making sure it was good enough to use now.
While i was changing the design i personally felt i made the design before was really messy and loads going on while my design on. the right that more updated is more spaced out and minimal but that works so well and my colours link to my personality a bit more the design don’t really take up to room distracting from the information. However while i was designing i still felt I could explore a bit more so i went on to the idea of design an outcome on landscape to see what it would like.
Above is the landscape design that i started to design in indesign, I decided to remove the photo of myself off my cv it might be nice on some Cv but i just feel like makes the design look really weird if the employer want to see me they could find me on my website or my linkedin account as there’s more better quality on there and removing the picture gave me more white space on the page and freedom to give my work space meaning the design is more easier to read and track through.
since making my portfolio landscape I really think I have gain more appreciation to white spaces and using the indesign grids and leveling out different type to show more character and play in my. design this also helps navigate my the reader through the text of what to read, taking forward from theses i think I will explore my landscape design a bit as I think the design works more and could stand out against a typical portrait cv.
