developing the exhibition-
One of the feddbackadvcie that Theo gave me on my design that i had so far way that design worked but they didn’t fit with the message straight away , when I joined the call with theo to see what I could do to improve my outcomes was that he recommend to me add a place with writing in the exhibition as it would give a bit of content ot the exhibition and it’s not just a photo on the wall when ii start ii did just throw the work together but having time to go back ii really wanted to add to the mock pu and give the design more a message even it looked messy.
Below on the left is the start point and on the right is a slight improve mock of the exhibition, what i did to improve was give each stage of design it own place and label the walls so when people walk around they would have understand what they are looking at nad what stage and the iidea what will happen this just the design a bit more content but the tutors an understand of how i would display my work if I could really put the lifecycle of the fast fashion on show and the design should make users stop and think and hopefully want to make a change to their buying habit before they do end up drinking their own clothes.
Now that my exhibition mockup has more content and and a message i think the design as really come together that a message that flows and could be understood by the adeuince that doesnt know much about the message or the issues .
Developing – stage three the drinking of clothes
One of my photography outcomes of a experiment that ii dd for my final outcomes formative was having clothes cut up in a starbucks cup making it look like a drink someone would get when the time comes to human drinking their own micro plastic from their clothes as your water will be filled, when i go feedback it was advised maybe to redesign the cup and make experiment again but remove the brand on the cup as it targets a brand that’s not need but also to add water and the content of someone drinking from the cup as it gives the message a strong point to the audience that are looking at the design.
Below is the designs that I handed in roughly in formative ( i had edited one that were better but theses are just for a rough idea of the message so far ) the design did really target starbucks a brand that doesn’t link to fast fashion so it was important to remove this.
I took me a while to cut up all the clothes into smaller parts this time instead of loads big chucks I wanted to my clothing parts really small to represent the microplastic from the clothes we cannot see but I still had make the clothes at a good size so they would be seen in the cup and in the photos, below is what the designs turned out like.
To make the design have more content alwell i used my sibling ( that gave full consent to being in my work ) as a model so show the cup full of the clothes and water and drinking by having a human figure in the design really plays on humans emotions as it makes them question the reality and how they feel if they had to live like that, theses photos will be used in my project to show stage three also known as one of the final stages of humans drinking their waste clothes due them not having control
Overall looking at the improvement so far I think the project has a strong message and message is really improved in conet of the work the design isn’t just simple photos the designs really stand out in the photography and could be understood now without having a message by them.
