the final milestone to get verbal feedback to improve my Final major project before handing in all my work in to be graded in May, was a teams group call with peers and David today (31st March 2021) In the call I had to present my work from research to concepts to the stages of outcomes I am at so far.
due to having most of my app done and having some rough social media outcomes I felt the feedback I got was really helpful to progress in the upcoming half term weeks to then hand in the strongest outcome I can give and use in my own portfolio, the group I was placed in was mainly guys and two girls but I found having guys views on my work so useful as they don’t understand the issues so much so it means it would be like a fresh users not knowing anything.
with my outcomes I have noticed there a lot of room for improvements but I really wanted to show the work so far and see if there anything I should avoid or remove, since designing in the last week since having my last tutorial I was recommend to change my colours to more brighter but I haven’t had time or motivation to do this so one of recommend advice from my feedback was to change colour theme to more bright set, this could be taking out the pink or brightening up the colours to help myself a bit more I went away and message Georgia from my group that said I should make my work more women powerful based the colour seem right very pastel here you go this very girly issues when it shouldn’t. Georgia sent me a handful of pictures of colour she recommend to use such as use purple, neon punk`pink and even trying orange, taking this all on board I think I will be trying out orange as many people recommend this colour to be blended in with my work.
with my feedback the app seemed very strong and had enough information and prototype to show people how the app works and it was spoken about the app could really work and each other but the places to improve for the hand in making the extra outcomes that advertise the work more such social media work to improve – improving the tone of voice to be looked and thought about in my more detail and changed make gif or animation to add on to the final outcome this could be done by changing the colours or seeing how I want to express the app more.
David also recommend me to look into exploring adding in some add on’s like podcast and other links the app to make the app more useful to others and this could link the app having more connection so podcast sending people to the app and the app sending them there it would build a good partnership, small recommend feedback was thinking about making my tagline move on the pages of my work or changing the typefaces for my app as the typeface could be seen as too feminine.
