when I started making my app icedieced that i didn’t want a navigation bar as it so typical and expected on app as most app out there include them while i was trying to different and make my app different i spoke to my tutor and a peer and both recommend ot me to add a navigation bar in as it really helps all age group user to use my app and understand what’s going on or else the app could be really awkward and hard to navigate through, meaning some users wont use it and it would be a waste. Below is what my app looked like at the starting stages with the navigation bar I personally think it would been simple to navigate as i knew the idea and layout however for people that didn’t know the app would be lost meaning the app could be just be pushed the side.
A decided to create a very simple icon navigation that could be used by a lot of users as each icons had a simple lnk to each page and was laid out the way the app would work meaning the user had a choice of swiping on the pages to the next one or could click on the different buttons to the next page, Due to my app mainly being about adding in information from their experience on the different control to help give advice and data to other or the user tracking their own body or adding a reminder i made the add ( plus) button bigger as I aim to make the button have a pop up of another button/link for time click what they want and take them their without having to away going onto their profile or finding the page they want the button would be a more simple design idea.
After designing the nav bar i added it into each main homepage and below is what it looks like while i have the nav bar on the main pages the pages that link off from the main element pages have all homepage button or go back buttons that the user can use to go back a page to take them to the nav bar, by using my recommended feedback it has really helped me develop my app visual look but also the user experiences overall as it would be the app is more simple to use and people would actually use it after all.
