starting off the second week of this project I thought I could sign up for a 10 minute tutorial with Theo and Carol to discuss my concepts for this prose ct because I felt that I was a bit lost and confused and not knowing where to start and what to do, in the 10 minute tutorial I discussed my whole issues and the concepts that I have thought about.
Theo and carol both said I’ve got gently of ideas and that they all link and its. up to me what I want to do and discuss but to help myself they did point to me to do a bit of research to help push my ideas and think is there any positive to this issues and consermsim can be bad but could be seen that people are given jobs in the poor countries, while this is a big question to think about I still believe my issues should be identify to consumers and to make them question their buys and where it comes form and should they really be using fast fashion companies as much, a point of research I realised I should do from this tutorial is find out companies that are fast fashion companies and how bad they are.
while Theo and carol both helped me see that my issues was a good issues they also gave me a book to look into called ” No logos” by Naomi klein, Theo discussed that this book has highlighted so of my points back in 1999 but I should look into the book and see if there any points that I could bring forward and make Morden into my design to make it more impactful, carol was also very useful in this tutorial as she pointed out that I should try and get a link of the viewer to connect with some ways for example ” co op packaging is 97% unuseable but how could you make them feel a connection to the link of consumerism issues and want to change” this is linking emotions or some type of experience should be used to get the users more included.
taking away from the tutorial I have cut one of my concept out because I feel that packaging of destroying a bad brand and showing the truth behind the brand is a good ideas but packaging is done so much that people might just not want to look into it as much, due the project being all my choice and control I can have as many ideas as I want to so I think will explore a couple of design and research more into fast fashion and think of ways to show it but this 10 minute tutorial has really helped me in a way to moved forward and push my ideas a bit more.
