Todays was the second day of the criticality project, this week is about discuss and issues trying find what the issues that I want to use and make a project on and to really dig deep into an issues so I can visually make it seen to others without having too much information selling the ideas .
Since yesterday I had have thought about my ideas a bit more in depth, I’ve changed my ideas from one idea to the other but I also and felt that the next step forward was to speak to some peers and Theo my tutor for this project to see if they could help me push my idea forward and their views as I feel by me just thinking about the ideas it could really limt my progression.
The idea I took into the tutorial was a issues that appeared in my dissertation and I feel should be talked and about told to the world this was, How consumers just over buy items and buy into items that not needed this always linked to self identity and social status that been pushed on them. the outcome idea I started with at the start of the meeting was about making an app that you use just like a point card but an app so when you buy a product you scan in the product and it add self identity points and it allows humans to connect and show their own ideity/ social status throw the app.
while speaking to Theo he liked the issues but helped point me into another path to explore this week as it could develop my issues more and have a non digital outcome as the tutor really want us to push our ideas and creative skills outside our typical norm, the idea he spoke about was how social media and shops listen to your conversation and date searches and try and make a self identity to help you but it can often get confused and make wrong ideinties, this idea was really good to think about straight away I thought about making my issues as a funny but serious to make people aware of the issues we have, the outcomes I could make right now from the top of my head would be making hand made collages of random profiles you get of people just buy their lows or conversation.
While I have a week of researching and thinking Ideas I think I’m going to focus on mai issues and explore more areas as I think topic could really me interesting and fun to explore and visual for people to identify the issues that going on in the world.
