duolingo – visual designs

In any type of design work it’s so imprint to have visual that have a meaning or link to the theme of project having visual helps make the project more detail and stand out to consumers or users of. the project having something that will stand out in this project will also push the app to be promoted more than every, coming up with visual took me a while Spent some time thinking of visual to link to. language, duolingo app already and travel even connections to tie together my ideas.

my first visual idea at the start was going to typography based posters however I felt because the app already very language based and text heavy it might scare people straight away making them not care and want to know more, the second visual idea I came up was trying out to make different tags this came from my ideas thinking stage andresarch where I found a lot of travel stuff uses. tags and tickets. .

the tags on the left are some different design that. took 2 minute designs they might be very simple but they could be explored more howeverI don’t feel. right at the start of desigingt heses can used on there own to make final outcome and I don’t think they would improve any of my idea. this is just a explored idea.

half way into project added in information – after designing my outcomes there was an area of my booklet design that needed to be filled as there was too much dead space so I tried out my ticket/ tag idea on my booklet spread and it made the idea and design stand out more and really work to push that area of information.

barcode/ QR codes – one of the visuals that I need to use to make my outcomes and the prototypes look real for the campaign was adding in ticket barcode or QR codes, this just a small detail for my visual but really brings the idea of the design and always the idea of making the app to download easy from the promotes .

duolingo owl – while designing my outcomes I felt that my designs didn’t really include much app visual details on my design expect from the Duolingo logo but word format, to make the design connect more I felt including the Duolingo logo of the owl would help the design stand out a bit more and easily to be recognised by previous users or people that know about language apps out there.

small add in details for travel – due to my designs being travel based outcomes and all my outcomes be text based I wanted to add in small details that could make my outcomes a bit more visually appealing to a the target audience that’s being addressed, the small details that I have picked to use was a world global just to represent the worldwide languages that can used and link it to the travel I also include a small outline of a plane this was added on my boarding pass to show that the destination they are. travelling from and to just to make it stand out on the page but a bit more detailed then just words.
