design for real / type face picking

When it comes to designing for any brief, it’s just as important to think about picking the right typeface that sets the right tone of voice with the type this can be just as powerful as the visual languages.

Normally I struggle with picking my typeface but having an understanding of my brief tone of voice from the start it gave me a head start of which typefaces to look at, my brief needs is to be friendly but also be professional giving out facts to gain staff to join the team with pushing art’s and well being, due to the fact the friendly and professional manner is need sans serif will be the best way to set the tone and give out the right Information.

Instead of just picking one sans serif for my main typeface for the Information I wanted to. use this time to get a couple sans serif on the page nad pick out the one that felt more connected with my designs and ideas to move forward, in the left side is fotma djr banner I real like this typeface however I feel like it’s weight is so heavy and could be a very impacted strong typeface but not really the type i want to use, circe reg is a very friendly typeface and could be more creative and that’s what my breif is trying to do but the cuvers could be a bit too friend so `I think my heart is telling me to URW. FORM REg as it’s not too over friendly but not too less perosnality i feel like it hits the spot and will work well with my outcomes however anything could happend when making my outcomes I will move forward circe and URW form and see what happens.

For this project I’ve planned to build a package design meaning I will have to make the box stand out to get people to open it to gain the Information, I felt a way to do this was to include another typeface and the typeface That I really liked and felt could work on front covers of the packaging but also a booklet to make more impact was the BEBAS KAI but then I feel BODONI 72. SMALLCAP BOOK gave a bit more chapter to the typeface and could book a bit more while using URW. FORM as the body font in the designs.
