Tuesday 4th – today afternoon class was a 40-minute group tutorial with peers from this project terms, in this class, it was a small show and tell amount the improvement and outcomes of our own Artist book that we have designed so far.
The main outcome I wanted from this talk was to get yes or no about my ideas on my new narrative of the books and idea of how I want to display the new ideas out instead of a typical flip blinded book. While I spoke about my idea I gave the group a bit of a show of my designs and try out before changing my narrative and idea a couple of days ago and asked them they though about swapping my ideas, it seemed that everyone like the look of my rough draft outcomes on my iPad they thought having a book more focused on my place on photography would be better for the audience having an understanding of the book.
One of the things I took away from the group tutorial was that I may be a bit ambitious with my idea of making 5 books especially making the bookcases for my artist book myself so I will be lower my outcomes to 4, the other thing I’m taking away is the note of pushing myself with work but then don’t push too much if an idea not working go back and change the idea to something diffrent or ask for help.
things to do in the next couple of days before next group tutorial is to blind my bookcase out ready and have a name for the outcome of the book and have all photos screenprinted and ready to show everyone.
