printed matters -case study 3

One of the last photography artist books I looked at was by Eilleen whites that called her work printed matter designed and realized 2018 this book was a book that wasn’t made in a huge mount theres only a handful of copies that people can buy and sell around, each copy is a bit diffrent from the other because I only got see one copy and looked online I’m unsure what the difference it might be however I feel the images would a bit diffrent as they made handmade with objects meaning each one would have diffrent movement, each book is signed and dated of when it was made for records and the buyers records on the artist book.

The idea around this outcome was “Preserving a moment, in the very act of becoming” meaning the design was all about keeping something going forever or for a longer time than normal by printing it, it meant it wouldn’t go as it’s there now for a longer time period.

The artist book was very sleek and simplistic, the book was made like an envelope that comes out like a letter inside however the paper is stuck to the back of the front cover to keep toegher, the design layout of the book is very simple not a lot happening on the page only one photography outcome on each page.

The thing that stood out for me about this book was the size of the photos and the simplest design of the book from the cover to the layout but I loved how to book was stuck together from the envelope cover, the other thing that I likee was the letter print of the date and name of the author the book it looks really cool and diffrent on the page and it shows it’s someone mark on the work.
