In the previous blog I talked about that university day was split in two parts, this blog post is all about the part two independent study and feedback talk with my main tutor David.
Since I’ve had my digital written feedback for my editorial project I have spent a handful of times going over it and see where I can improve my final design for the three spreads before handing in a couple weeks, to gain more knowledge on improving I felt it would be good to to speak my tutor about the written feedback and understand it more, this small ten minutes chat was very helpful as it gave me confidence that my work is a good stage even if I was ill for two weeks by having a couple more days to change my design I know my design work can work well after adding all the new elements in.
- Changing point size of body
- Removing image on spread two
- Make spread two more of a middle point of a story to link the other two
- See if colour will help make this stand out e.g pull out quotes in colour
- Change some colloums might help give more white space
While speaking to David I spoke about some ideas I had about my spread that can help improve my work, theses ideas were making my pull out quotes into a design element like my title, making my spread two into a type based section with page 4 into a colour page with a bold quote in the middle, as I gave some of my newest ideas to David he agreed that by doing theses improvements will help build my work up more.
