App design- presentation design points

The second workshop of the day was with my tutor David, at the start we have a small presentation that gave a help guide in away to us junior graphic designers about what to make sure our app does while designing as you want the app to work well with the users and be useful theses points were;

  • Useful
  • Usable
  • Desirable
  • Findable
  • Accessible
  • Valuable
    Credible
  • As a designer I should always being using this list while making anything within app design or for products like branding to make sure the item is meeting the needs for a user or else the item wouldn’t really work.
  • In this presentation there was a slide that was important it was about the points of
  • ASK, THINK and DESIGN theses are 3 stages I would do while creating .
  • Ask – what does the user need from the app
  • Think – what do they need to do and engage with e.g heading and different areas
  • Design – design something that can use easy like using back buttons
  • The last couple of points that my tutor pointed out the group was to always make sure that our app was simple to use and people could understand it for example using background to go back a step or to the page instead going the way back.

    Linking the app to a website if I’ve made a website that relating to the app, could be a button for help and a web page comes up with for help information on the app,

    Using group and categories to spread things out- could be in a fashion tap ideas or things like favourites, recent looked at
