editorial introduction
New project always means a new introduction to the new upcoming brief I will be using to develop in the next couple of weeks, the new brief is for a editorial design of 3 different double spreads for my Magazine, the 3 spreads will be designed on the article that I get to pick from in the next couple of days.
Like any other brief there’s certain needs to the project this editorial has a minimum word count of being 1500 words paragraphs still be understandable to the reader the audience for the editorial design is young bright creative people .
The page have to be bigger than 315 mm x 225 mm on the pages there should a different layout on each one to keep reader interested. Photos or illustrations can be used but have to be own work no stealing off online.
The design of my work should be linked to the article in a creative way and backed up on my blog post here, the article needs to be readable to people and using all of graphic basic knowledge like hierarchy and details to font choice and layouts on the grid.
All of the layout articles have to be designed on indesign to look professional but other software can used then imported onto indesign and in the file, packaging the file will be needed to hand for tutors to mark work to see.
