manifesto- poster protest
Within my group we decided to create a poster for our manifesto to show what we want to protest about on the topic of company creating too much profit on items that didn’t cost as much to make leaving the constr with less money.
As seen in my blog from Thursday, you may of seen that me and Laura from our group went in to university to work with each other to plan for poster in this time went sent sometime on layouts and what we like in our poster this what the page looked like, that I will be using as the layout of poster.

starting off point for making the poster was to create the small details like the outliner boards and the text that chosen by me and Laura, bit by I added in different colours such a texts shadows or background and shapes, before finishing off my part of the poster I spent time playing around with the layouts, in the photo below it shows the development and trial and error I carried out before handing over the work to Laura to include the illustrations .
The poster that I sent off was the bottom right, this matched our layout plan made by me and Laura and it give Laura the room to play around with the illustration.
The white text for the protest name works well has it stand out on the background the side of the text look a decent size its not too big or too small it sit well on the page, The colour I picked for our background to use works so well for the manifesto and protest as the coloraturas links to dollar money in real life.
To help improve the poster I think adding the poster images and moving the text around and changing the typeface.
The final outcome draft that will be used to show the tutors of our outcomes within our week of making the protest we hope to get feedback, the poster has both elements created by me and Laura.

developing poster more after feedback
After presenting the poster in our manifesto we received feedback on things to improve on these things were ” finding another layout that works with the poster” and also changing the font colours as you can’t not see the black on black.
The changes that had to be done were simple but means the poster needed sometime on it to change everything, me and Laura both went home and sat with the poster trying different things by remove or adding different element to the poster to what would work as a better outcome, below is the slides off the different ways I tried out in order from left to right.
when designing for the second time for the poster I wanted to be experimental with the colour theme seeing is black would help the text stand out a bit more, I also had a play with moving the text around on the layout of the poster I used the grids to help me see where to line the text each time to make sure everything was in a right place, however I showed Laura the different outcomes each time and pointed out what I liked on each one to get a better idea of what we liked.
We believe by removing one set of the faces helps the poster have more free space and easier to use so the text is visible for people to see, we didn’t like the idea of having manifesto on the poster so we removed it due to it taking us unnecessarily space on the poster, to make the poster simple we changed the fonts and kept the heading bold so it was eye catching enough.
The final outcome for the manifesto poster was this one below.
