layouts/the grid & main project set

 

Aim of todays lessons time was to understand the layout of content such a poster and magazines articles and understand the grids and why texts and titles are placed in certain places and how to captures the audiences eyes and keep them interested.

within the lesson today I had a handful of tasks to take part of the frist task was to draw a magazine page layouts and find out the grid of the pages, after a couple of drawings and looking in the magazine I found the grid layout for the magazine and how the company tries to layouts the text and images .

Once I looked and drawn some layouts of pages I was given another tasks of creating some of my own page layout one of my layouts had to be a symmetrical layout that can landscaped or portrait then a asymmetrical layout all my layouts had to be created from magazines pictures and texts parts.

I found by cutting out magazines and sticking the items onto my sketchbook pages and moving the items around on the page I can see what works the best and whats doesn’t.

In the afternoon after lunch I was given my first main project set that’s a poster that celebrates graphics designs movement through out the years, this topic will run for 3 weeks that has to be created in indesign, only using 3 colours and my own images.
