friday 28th- workshops

Illustrator workshop and hybrid type workshop

To get a start into my course of graphic design my letecre tutors have been extremely nice to set up some workshops to help boost my basic skills and knowledge in some areas that I need to know, one of the workshops was using the software known as adobe illustrator.

In the illustrator workshop I learnt some basic skills on the software when doing this I had a small hour task of creating a rocket, to the tools I had to use to make my rocket was the pen tool and shape tools after making the rocket I got to mess around with making text into text outlines where I can move, add textures and turn.

this is what my rocket turned out to look like .

The hybrid type workshop was all about ways type can be mixed to express a way the word and get across a meaning, this was a fun workshop to do as it let me mess around with my word and different layouts and fonts ideas to get the best outcome, I didn’t finish this work but I will add more in my free time to get more practices on type and layouts.

After today’s workshop I was set a week project on hybrid typography to make a poster only using two fonts that are serif and sans serif, I will report my progress on my blog here.
